WIN a Gift for Someone you LOVE

If your given a bag full of beautiful products form Sample Room, who do you want to give it to, and why? My answer is: To my Mom I guess many of us would really try our best to show how much we appreciate our mom. Since my mom and dad separated, she is our Mapa (Mama and Papa); she never failed to make us feel complete. Raising us (2 girls and 1 boy) was really tough for her, not only she was able to give us all our needs but most especially, she was able to balance her time for us equally. When I became a mom like her, the more I appreciate the effort my mom sacrificed for us. What I learned from my mom is the most priceless gift I am able to teach my kid.  She is always their not only for me but also for my son. Since I need to work for me to provide for our needs, my mom became the YayaLa (Yaya & Lola in one) of my little boy. I am sometimes worried because my mom sometimes forgets to pamper herself because she is very hands on in taking care of my little boy.

For our Holiday Treat, we offer our delicious Fruitcake. Fruitcake is a traditional sweet cake that is served during holidays. Many countries have their own recipe of making this cake and we also have our own. Thank You Babypalooza Bazaar, Michikoshoppes & SuburbaNANAY

Since I became a mom, I am very much interested with baby bazaar, not because I am in impulsive buyer (sometimes I am guilty ☺ ) but because I enjoy seeing such cute baby items and also products for mommies and soon to be moms. Here in the Philippines, one of the most famous baby bazaars is the Babypalooza Bazaar. “The Babypalooza Bazaar aims to provide a safe and comfortable venue for start-up entrepreneurs to offer and promote their business to parents and friends.  Aside from brand new products for babies and toddlers, our event also welcomes sellers of gently used items and gear.” (Info source : http://www.babypalooza.com.ph/ ) This year, the Babypalooza team will have their 4th Babypalooza Bazaar this Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Walter Hogan Conference Center, Ateneo de Manila University Quezon City from 9AM until 7PM.  Unfortunately; I cannot attend this bazaar because I am here in Cebu City. Really do hope they will have their next event here in our

Viral Infection: For ALL Parents Please Be AWARE

Dirk had a high fever last Friday, November 15, 2013. As a first aid, I gave him Dolan (Ibufropen based medicine) because that is the only medicine he can take (my little boy is allergic to paracetamol). I was bothered because the fever lasted for 2 days. I bought him to his Pedia yesterday because he lost his appetite due to his fever. I bought medicines prescribed by his pedia and immediately gave it to him. Last night, I was freaked out because rashes suddenly appeared all over his body. I suddenly rushed him this morning to his pedia. As per his pedia, Dirk had a viral infection that was rampant since last week (he had 6 patients same with the condition of Dirk) ; it is like Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease where in babies will first have fever, loss of appetite then rashes will come out after the fever is gone. I am glad because the rashes will be gone after 5 days. To all parents, let us ensure that our babies are safe. Immediately consult your pedia if your babies have the

Being an Environmental Friendly Mama: Homemade Baby Wipes

I think most of you would agree that buying the needs and wants of our babies is really very costly. For me, as much as possible, I am finding ways to at least able to save my budget from buying diapers and baby wipes (I fine these 2 neccesities very expensive). Currently, I am using cloth diapers for Dirk but not most of the time because i only have 2 pcs of it. Not only I was able to save my money, but as well, I am able to contribute a good impact on the environment because I was able to lessen the waste in our environment. Speaking about ways in saving money, I got this  homemade baby wipes  recipe  from an auction in Listia. Listia is an o nline auction site where in you do not need money or cash in order to have items that you want, but instead, you only need to use credits. Need not to worry beacuse the sign-up is for free. So for those parents who love to make products for their babies and would like to save a lot of money just to buy baby wipes, hope you will find thi

Happy ME

The word “Happiness” or “Happy” has a lot on meaning for different people. What makes you happy may not apply to others or vice versa. The happiness of others may not be the same as yours. For me, happiness or being happy means able to stay alive and survive during my UP and DULL moments. In short, it is making a choice if you want to be happy or not. Image Source : franthony.com 14 years in school, 5 years in an employee  and 1 and ½ year as mom, here are some ways on how do I keep myself happy despite of the challenges I encounter : This REAL sunflower really made me SMILE • Learn to Smile – smiling has been a part of my routine. Good or Bad, I always smile because I believe that everything happens for a reason. • Saying Thank You – not only I thank the Lord for everything he gave me but I never fail to thank all the people surrounding me. They have been a part of my life. • Be Honest – being honest now a day’s seems to very hard for some. But for me, hones

The October 15, 2013 Earthquake

It was a very peaceful Tuesday morning, Dirk and I was still in bed and was not too early to get up because it was a Holiday so I don’t have work. At was around 8:30 that our ceiling fan was suddenly shaking; I thought it was just my imagination, and then suddenly a very hard shake disturbed us, an earthquake that lasted for about 10 minutes.  We are living in the 2 nd floor of the apartment and I was really grateful that God blessed me because I was in control; I was able to safely carry my son outside our room and safely run outside. That was my 2 nd time to experience a strong earthquake, the 1 st time was on February 2012, that time I am 8 months pregnant with Dirk and I was in our technical training room in the office because I was have a training. God never failed to be always there for us because we were able to evacuate the building safely. Back to the October 15, 2013 earthquake, many aftershocks came after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake; around 1,000+ aftershocks we

Dirk’s 1st Trick or Treat (2013)

Our little man wasn’t able to have his trick or treat last 2012 because he is too young. Now, that he is a toddler, we were able to do trick or treat this year. Honestly, it was also my first time to experience this activity because it is really not that known during my younger years. Trick or Treat is an activity for children done during Halloween; the kids usually dressed up with their costumes and will visit their neighbors door to door to ask candies or treats. Dirk had his 1 st trick or treat at SM Cebu City. Of course, our little Dirk had his vampire costume and his jack-o-lantern basket for his candies and goodies. We enjoyed roving all around the mall visiting the different stores w/c offered a lot of treats for the children joining the event. Our Little Vampire Soo busy checking his treats Happy Trick or Treat to all! ♥
